Network Troubleshooting

IP Addresses

VoIP traffic

If your network is protected by firewall which restrict outbound traffic please ensure you allow the following addresses and ports combinations:

North and South America, Asia and Oceania:

  • Ports TCP/UDP 443, 5060, 5061, 5566 (SIP Signaling): 23.105.180.58 amn.sip.ssl7.net
  • Ports UDP 10000-65000 (RTP Audio): 23.105.180.103, 23.105.180.107, 23.105.180.116, 23.105.180.119

Europe and Africa:

  • Ports TCP/UDP 443, 5060, 5061, 5566 (SIP Signaling): 82.113.147.229 eu.sip.ssl7.net
  • Ports UDP 10000-65000 (RTP Audio): 134.19.166.143, 134.19.166.151, 134.19.166.157, 134.19.166.166, 134.19.166.169, 134.19.166.170

Note: although normally your SIP endpoints will be assigned to one of the locations above (based on your geographical location) in unlikely event of one of VoIPstudio data centers becoming unavailable your traffic will be redirected to the other location (via automated SIP fail over mechanism). It is therefore important to allow traffic to all above listed IP addresses.

REST API traffic

If your network is protected by firewall which restrict inbound traffic to port 443 (HTTP over SSL) please ensure you allow the following addresses:

North and South America, Asia and Oceania:

  • 23.105.180.104
  • 23.105.180.105
  • 23.105.180.109
  • 23.105.180.117
  • 23.105.180.120

Europe and Africa:

  • 134.19.166.144
  • 134.19.166.145
  • 134.19.166.149
  • 134.19.166.158
  • 134.19.166.161

Encrypted calls

All calls on the VoIPstudio network are encrypted by default when using the standard Desktop or Mobile apps. If you plan to use your own IP phones to make and receive encrypted calls, please ensure that you SIP Register to the TLS (SSL-encrypted) TCP port 5061 for signaling. With this configuration, audio streams are automatically encrypted using the SRTP protocol.

Router configuration and SIP ALG

SIP ALG (Application Layer Gateway) is common feature in many commercial routers.
Many routers have this SIP ALG turned on by default.
This should be disabled as may induce following issues:

  • Lack of incoming calls
  • One way audio issues
  • Break Sip signalling
