Review Transparency Policy

At VoIPstudio (Level 7 Systems Ltd/Level 7 Network Ltd, trading as VoIPstudio, GoTrunk, 247LiveChat, and VoIPhome), we are committed to honest and transparent customer reviews. This policy explains how we gather, manage, and disclose reviews, including the occasional use of incentives, and the steps we take to ensure compliance with consumer protection law.

Our Commitment to Genuine Reviews

  • Authentic Experiences Only: Every review of VoIPstudio should reflect a real user’s genuine experience. We do not and have never knowingly fabricated reviews, hired third parties or bots to generate reviews, or allowed employees to pose as customers. To the best of our knowledge, all reviews are from real customers sharing their honest opinions.
  • No Fake or Misleading Reviews: We do not and will not knowingly publish fake or misleading reviews. Negative feedback is just as important as positive feedback. Under no circumstances do we remove or hide genuine negative reviews in a way that would mislead consumers. Moreover, many of the reviews we receive are unprompted.
  • Unbiased Review Invites: We do encourage customers to leave reviews but we never require or script the content or sentiment. Invitations to review are open requests for honest feedback, not requirements for positive statements.
  • Transparent Policies: This policy is published on our website and linked wherever reviews are featured, where possible, so that readers have a definitive reference for our approach to incentivized reviews and transparency.

Incentivized Reviews: How and Why We Do It

From time to time, we may offer a small “thank you”, such as a third-party retail voucher or account credit, to customers who leave us a review to compensate for their time and effort.

  • These incentives are never tied to review sentiment. Customers receive them regardless of whether their review is positive, neutral, or negative.
  • Incentivizing reviews is permitted under UK consumer law provided that reviews are genuine and the incentivization is not concealed.

1. Clear Disclosure

Where possible, we identify incentivized reviews through labels or tags provided by review platforms. However, not all platforms allow this. When clear tagging or customized declarations aren’t possible, readers should always refer back to this Review Transparency Policy as the definitive statement of our practices.

2. Genuine, Unbiased Content

Even if a reviewer receives a voucher or credit, their review must always reflect their genuine experience. We never ask for and do not require positive reviews in exchange for incentives.

Respecting Platform Rules

VoIPstudio reviews appear on independent platforms such as Trustpilot, Capterra, G2, Gartner, and other 3rd-party sites.

  • Some platforms do not allow (or have stopped allowing) incentivized reviews at all. Where this is the case, we will comply and not incentivize reviews on those platforms.
  • Where a 3rd-party platform has changed its policy regarding incentivization over time, it is of course not possible to apply this rule retrospectively with 100% accuracy in cases where data is unavailable.
  • On platforms that do allow incentivization, we follow their rules carefully, including marking incentivized reviews where possible.
  • Where tagging or customized declarations are unavailable, customers may be asked to disclose in their review that they received an incentive, although this is out of our editorial control.

Practices We Don’t Engage In

To the best of our knowledge, VoIPstudio has never and will never engage in:

  • “Positive review” quid pro quo: We will never offer money, gifts, or benefits specifically in exchange for positive reviews.
  • Gagging or edit requests: We will never ask a customer to change or remove a negative review in return for any benefit.
  • Pre-written or insincere testimonials: We will never provide templated language or pressure customers to only write positive content.
  • Conflicted reviews: Employees are not permitted to review our services. We have never knowingly encouraged this, and to the best of our knowledge, no such reviews exist.
  • Fake review schemes: We do not and will not buy fake reviews or use services that create them.

Transparency, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement

VoIPstudio’s review practices are designed to comply with UK consumer law, including the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers (DMCC) Act 2024, which prohibits fake or concealed incentivized reviews.

We have never knowingly violated these requirements, and, to the best of our knowledge, all reviews of our services are genuine and compliant.

We will continue to monitor and update this policy to reflect legal changes and best practices for consumers and, on a best-effort basis, to comply with changes to 3rd-party platform policies.
