Will you charge me during the trial?
No. The trial is completely free. Your card will only be charged if you continue using VoIPstudio after 30 days. You can cancel anytime during the trial to avoid charges.
Do I need to sign a contract?
No. VoIPstudio has no long-term contracts. You can pay monthly and cancel anytime. Every new customer also gets a 30-day free trial to experience the service risk-free.
Is the free trial full-featured?
Yes. The 30-day trial includes all core VoIPstudio features, one inbound number, and 200 minutes to get you started. You’ll experience the same service as paying customers. You can even try the latest CX Add-on features for free under your trial.
Can I skip the free trial and begin my paid service earlier?
Yes. If you’re ready to deploy beyond the scope of the trial, you can upgrade to a paid subscription at any time.
What happens if I cancel?
You can cancel during your trial or subscription at any time. If you cancel before your next billing cycle, you won’t be charged again.
How is SMS priced and where is it available?
SMS is charged from $0.08 per message.
SMS is not included in PAYG plans or call bundles.
Delivery is guaranteed for domestic (in-country) SMS only, for example:
- UK → UK
- Poland → Poland
Cross-border SMS (for example UK → Poland) is sent on a best-effort basis and delivery cannot be guaranteed.
Subject to availability, SMS-enabled numbers can be provided in:
Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, Israel, Mexico, Poland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
These numbers can be activated with a Worldwide address and can begin sending SMS once approved.

US domestic SMS requires 10DLC campaign registration. This is a regulated process and approval can take several weeks before messaging is enabled.
Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
Yes. A valid credit card is required to activate your 30-day free trial.
How much do calls to landlines and mobiles cost?
Rates vary depending on the destination. Download our rates list for full details. VoIPstudio rates are much lower than standard phone charges.
Does it cost money for people to call my VoIPstudio number?
Your inbound number works like a normal landline. Your callers will pay their usual rate for that destination, and they won’t notice any difference compared to your old setup. However, calls between VoIPstudio users are free-of-charge.
Are there any extra fees for international calls?
No hidden charges. You only pay the per-minute rates for calls outside your plan. Taxes and regulatory surcharges may apply in some regions.
Is my voicemail also free?
Yes. Voicemail is included in every plan at no extra cost. You can access messages anytime, and we’ll also notify you by email when a new message arrives.
How does 5-year retention work with CX Add-on?
Some data is retained at account level, while other data is retained per user.
Account-level retention (one CX Addon allocated to any user in the account)
A single active CX Addon enables 5-year retention for account-wide data, including:
- Volumetric data, such as Call Detail Records (CDRs)
- SMS messages
- Fax messages
Because these are account-level capabilities, only one active CX Addon is required for the entire account. This can reduce your costs if you only require minimal data retained and do not require full per-user voice conversation retention and CX capabilities.
User-level retention (CX Addon required for each user)
Features relating to an individual user’s voice recordings and transcriptions require each user to have a CX Addon assigned to benefit from 5-year retention. These include:
- Voicemails
- Call recordings
- AI transcripts
- AI summaries
- AI action items
- AI keywords
- Customer Experience (CX) scores
If only some users have a CX Addon licence, only those users’ conversation data will receive the extended 5-year retention.
Please note: Upgrading to CX Addon extends retention from the date of activation and includes the previous 12 months. It does not restore recordings or other conversation data that was permanently deleted under the standard 12-month retention policy.
Can I mix Core and CX Add-on users?
Yes. You can assign CX Addon only to the users who need extended conversation retention and AI-powered conversation intelligence, while other users remain on the Core plan.
This allows you to tailor licensing to the needs of each team while still benefiting from account-wide features that require only a single active CX Addon.
