As 2019 draws to a close and the new year dawns, it’s time to take a look back over the last 12 months. It has been a long and exciting journey for VoIPstudio as a leading enterprise VoIP service provider. Our service has evolved over the last year, with new features, updates, and integrations. Keep reading as we look back on 2019.

VoIPstudio in 2019

Customer needs and requirements have always been a focal point for VoIPstudio as a company. We strive to adapt and evolve, right alongside our clients. After all, what use is a phone service that doesn’t fit your needs?

To do this, our development team listens to customer feedback. There’s no better way to find out what businesses need in the future. We are always on the lookout for ways to improve VoIPstudio and make it the best possible phone service for clients. In 2019, VoIPstudio saw many exciting changes with brand new markets and integrations at the top of the list.

Innovative New Wallboard

We started 2019 off with a bang. 18 months in the making, VoIP Studio showcased the brand-new wallboard at the Call & Contact Centre Expo. The industry got the first look at version 2.0 in ExCel London, over 2 days (March 27-28).

After many months of hard work, we were excited to unveil the new capabilities of our software. Clients can set up the new wallboard on any device with a browser. Smartphones tablets, smart TVs, you name it our wallboard works on it! You can easily visualize key statistics like calls made and received, available agents, and so much more. Who said call analytics was boring?

Chrome Extension

Just a month later in April, we launched our Chrome extension. With this feature, we integrated rich calling functionality directly with the world’s most popular browser. The new extension brought the full suite of softphone calling features to Chrome.

The plugin is available as an extension from the Chrome web store, which means it is easy to install and use. It integrates the existing VoIP Studio softphone directly with the web browser. Users can access all the standard calling features in just a few seconds. Click to call functionality in one quick and easy step!

Now you don’t even need a specific device to log in to VoIPstudio. Any device with a Chrome browser will do the job. Subscribers have access to their calling history, contacts, and recordings across all devices they have used from a secure environment. The Chrome extension is yet another step on the journey towards complete portability.

Integration with TaxiCaller

VoIPstudio launched its next integration with TaxiCaller in June. Quite a few businesses use the dispatch software and the other integration is cost-effective for everyone. It is quick and easy, you don’t have to be an expert to make it work. We have done all the work for you!

What’s special about TaxiCaller integration you ask? Quite a few reasons actually. Some dispatch software does have integrated SIP clients. But rarely do they have the full set of features and functionality you’re used to. With VoIPstudio integration, you don’t have to miss a thing. It’s a complete VoIP phone service within your favorite dispatch software.

The best part? The integration is completely free. Other companies may charge for integration. Or you may need hours of extra work to set it up just the way you need it. Not with VoIPstudio. You don’t have to buy extra software or apps. We don’t charge license fees or premium rates. There’s no need to upgrade to get the latest integration. It’s available to everyone and it simply works!

VoIPstudio, in German

As the year continued, our development team kept launching new updates. In August, we launched VoIPstudio.de – our German language service. We were happy to announce the new language to help our German customers. Clients can now access the German-language versions of the dashboard, desktop, and mobile softphone apps.

If your workforce is more comfortable with German, you now have a better option for them. Users don’t have to struggle with unusual terminology or unfamiliar words. Our company always aims to improve ease of use and a German-language version brings us one step closer to achieving that. VoIPstudio and Zapier

It seems 2019 was the year of integration for VoIPstudio. We launched our biggest integration so far later in the year with Zapier. It offers an incredible amount of flexibility for our enterprise clients. You can now manage calls from the platform they use the most. No more thinking about which app to use or switching between dozens of apps to accomplish one task.

Business organizations are no longer interested in keeping data locked up in silos. Breaking down the barriers between different systems lets you use data in innovative ways. And VoIPstudio is here to help you with that. Through the Zapier integration, we offer advanced VoIP phone service features like call recording and conference calling from within your favorite software platform.

VoIPstudio has always been committed to an open approach to software integration. Our VoIP phone service is only one piece of workspace communication. We realize companies use multiple systems and would like to manage the system as an integrated whole. With this update, you can do exactly that.

Welcome to Zoho

As you might imagine, 2019 was quite a busy year for our development teams. But we don’t like to rest on past accomplishments. So fast forward to October and VoIPstudio announced our next major integration with Zoho CRM. With more than 37 million subscribers and growing fast, it’s a good bet that many of our customers use this platform. So naturally, we wanted to make it easier for our users to work with the CRM service of their choice.

We wanted to solve one of the biggest annoyances for sales teams, contact centers, and HR departments with Zoho integration. Clients don’t have to think about which software to use for calling. Your favorite VoIP phone service is here to help. Users can access call recordings and analytics from within Zoho. You can also add call records directly to your favorite CRM platform.

With this update, VoIPstudio joins the handful of telecom applications Zoho integrates with. It’s not easy to join this elite club as Zoho demands rigorous testing before launch. The company aims to release bug-free software for its clients and VoIPstudio is no different. So you can rest assured that the integration will work, no fiddling or extra fees needed!

Updates and Features

The integrations with Zoho, Zapier, and TaxiCaller were not the only features we launched in 2019, though they were some of the bigger ones. Feedback from our customers made us focus our efforts on collaboration as well. That’s why we introduced file and screen sharing for our users. The ability to communicate and collaborate is crucial for businesses today. With more workers wanting flexibility and working from home, features like this are gaining importance.

As always we also introduced many smaller improvements and updates throughout the year. Our customers will have access to the best version of the VoIP, no need to wait or pay extra charges.

What’s Next?

As you can see, integrations with other enterprise platforms was a top priority for VoIPstudio in 2019. Why do we think this is so important? Because our customers want it. It’s as simple as that. Our company believes in customer service and it goes beyond answering your questions or providing FAQs.

We think you should be delighted with our VoIP service from the moment you sign up and start using it. But the experience should not stop there. We will continue to delight customers with new integrations and features, even when they don’t expect it. That’s the reason we launched file and screen sharing as well. Our integration with Chrome was at the behest of customers. You asked and we delivered!

So what’s next for VoIPstudio? It all depends on what you want, of course. We will continue to focus on integration going forward in 2020. That’s because enterprises are moving away from disparate and siloed systems. We aim to bring the technology that works for our clients. Stay tuned for more interesting integrations coming your way. There’s a whole world of enterprise systems just waiting to be connected to your favorite VoIP phone service.

We really hope you enjoyed looking back at 2019 and seeing what we released for our customers. Keep an eye out for our roadmap survey in the first quarter of 2020. It’s your chance to tell us what you want and the features you would like to come to VoIPstudio in 2020.

We would love to hear your thoughts on what is most important to your business. Feedback from you drives our development activities and helps us prioritize our efforts. We are always happy to hear from you!
